Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Marks

Dr. Marks is a Southern California native. He attended UCLA for his undergraduate studies in biochemistry and graduated cum laude with departmental honors. After a brief career in biotechnology, Dr. Marks was accepted to the UCLA School of Dentistry and graduated with honors. He was also inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Society. 

After dental school, Dr. Marks was selected for the one-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center. He then completed his formal residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at LAC+USC Medical Center, graduating as chief resident in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Marks earned his medical degree form the Keck School of Medicine at USC and went on to complete a year of General Surgery training at LAC+USC.

Dr. Marks has extensive experience in the management of maxillofacial trauma and is a staff physician at Ventura County Medical Center where he also participates in the training of Family Medicine residents.

As and instrument-rated private pilot, Dr. Marks applies the same standards of safety used in aviation in his surgical practice in order to ensure the best and safest outcomes for his patients. 

In his spare time, Dr. Marks volunteers his surgical services, helping the under-served in Los Angeles County. When he’s not at work, you can find him mountain biking through the hills of Southern California or spending time with his dog, Suzy.
